  • Identify the four adult attachment styles and describe their behavioral signatures in romantic relationship initiation and commitment.
  • Distinguish between genuine relational readiness and anxiety-driven commitment -- the clinical difference between choosing a partner and escaping aloneness.
  • Define fantasy bonds and explain how they function as relational defenses against intimacy and authentic connection.
  • Apply attachment theory frameworks to clinical case conceptualization of clients presenting with commitment difficulties, partner selection patterns, or romantic idealization.
  • Recognize the clinical presentation of avoidant attachment in relationship-avoidant clients and describe evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • Identify cultural scripts about romantic love and marriage that contribute to problematic relational patterns in clinical populations.
