What you'll learn

  • Construct a written artificial-intelligence governance framework for a solo or group practice that specifies guiding principles, an acceptable-use policy, and defined roles and responsibilities.
  • Apply a structured vendor due-diligence checklist to evaluate an artificial-intelligence tool across evidence, security, contracting, data practices, validation, support, and exit and data-portability criteria.
  • Draft client-facing disclosure and consent language and documentation standards that account for artificial-intelligence-assisted clinical decisions and staff acceptable use.
  • Design a phased, monitored rollout for an artificial-intelligence tool that defines metrics, error reporting, incident response, and a sunset and deprovisioning plan.
  • Evaluate the liability, insurance, and ongoing-review implications of artificial-intelligence adoption and identify when a tool must be suspended or retired.

Who it's for

Licensed mental health professionals (LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, NCCs, psychologists), practice owners, and clinical supervisors planning to adopt artificial-intelligence tools responsibly.
